Economic Assistance - Remote in North Dakota - Learning and Development SpecialistPlay a key role in designing, developing, and delivering effective learning solutions that enhance the skills of eligibility workers and staff across various programs as a Learning and Development Specialist with ND Health and Human Services Economic Assistance section. We have two (2) positions available.As a Learning and Development Specialist, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess learning needs, develop training curricula, at time from scratch, deliver and evaluate training programs. You will create and maintain a variety of training materials, including quick reference guides, job aids, online help, and curriculum to support staff learning and performance. Additionally, you will develop storyboards and real-world training scenarios that simulate the end-user experience, ensuring they are relevant to program policies and systems.To thrive in this position, you have a curious nature and passion for employee development, and the ability to create engaging, impactful learning experiences, tools and resources. You have a deep understanding of adult learning principles, curriculum development and a passion for making complex information accessible to diverse audiences. You must be comfortable in both technical and non-technical communication and able to adapt quickly to changes in priorities, policy mandates and system enhancements. You are comfortable in both virtual and in-person training environments, engaging learners, building motivation, and ensuring training outcomes are effectively measured and aligned with program goals.To be considered for the Learning and Development position, you must meet one of the following:A high school diploma or GED AND six (6) years of experience in training and development, instructional design or experience at the state or county level administering or determining eligibility for specific Human Service Economic Assistance programs; ORAn associate's degree AND four (4) years of experience in training and development, instructional design or experience at the state or county level administering or determining eligibility for specific Human Service Economic Assistance programs; OR A bachelor's degree and two (2) years of experience in training and development, instructional design or experience at the state or county level administering or determining eligibility for specific Human Service Economic Assistance programs.About HHS:ND HHS strives to make North Dakota the healthiest state in the nation by reinforcing the foundations of well-being: physical, economic, and behavioral.
