• Minutes and Information
  • The new Strategic Plan will be posted the last week of August
  • Some initial conversations on defining data steward and maintenance of "orphaned" DHHS data
• Airports
  • An update has been on the radar for some time, but having the Bowman airport in the wrong place put a priority on next steps
  • Best course of action is to update the existing Hub data using the same data source as previously used (National Transportation Atlas Database)
  • This data consists of both private and public airports, where the 89 public airports are the same ones shown on the ND Aeronautics Commission website
  • Runway data should also be updated
• Special Interest Groups
  • The concept grew from previous suggestions of creating topic-specific user groups
  • Special interest groups (e.g., cartography, parcels, etc.) could meet at the Geospatial Summit and beyond
  • During the discussion, it became clear that existing conferences and groups, e.g., ND911, already exist, all with varying levels of GIS content
  • It was suggested to instead bring a "GIS Special Interest Group" to these existing conferences
• Discuss Strategic Plan Goals
  • As part of the Strategic Plan, Framework Dataset Definition and Identify and Document Framework Datasets
  • A draft definition was viewed and will be placed on the GIS Hub Data Portal
  • Framework datasets will be identified, using the existing data inventory tracking spreadsheet
• Roundtable
  • The DOT will be submtting a bunch of data after some HPMS work has been wrapped up
