- Mark S. has left the PSC to return to BSC
- Kim Weis is the new North Dakota Chief Data Officer
- Tribal Discussion
- This was meant to be an informal discussion to get SGC members connected with key people with knowledge of tribal-related information and data. A primary focus was authoritative data sources and key contacts for things like roads, parcels, etc. and a clarification of reservation boundaries/tribal lands.
- Bookmarks used during the meeting:
- Specific data related questions such as boundaries, should be sent to the BIA Regional Geospatial Coordinator
- Recommended to avoid the use of “tribal” and instead use just “trust lands”
- Not all off-reservation lands are trust lands, might be allotment lands
- The use of the term, “Indian Community” as shown on the ND Indian Affairs website is used since the tracts are not contiguous, but “service area” is a better term
- Geospatial Interest Group - tabled
- Geospatial Future State - tabled
- Strategic Plans and Goals - tabled
- Roundtable/Open Forum
- Parks and Recreation has released a new reservation system today, and they now have a trails app that shows at this time only Parks and Recreation trails. The app uses the 'OuterSpatial' app
