Monthly Hiring Range $4,300- $5,500 Are you passionate about making a positive difference? Join North Dakota Housing Finance Agency (NDHFA) as a Compliance Specialist ensuring compliance for homeless providers across the state. You will also have the opportunity to play a critical role in managing programs that help vulnerable households maintain or gain housing stability. This position offers an opportunity to impact the lives of those in need by supporting both federal and state-funded programs. Some of your duties will include:Providing input on administrative policy development, forms and training. Evaluate homeless provider grant activities, including expenditures, policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal and state program requirements. Conduct onsite compliance visits to ensure emergency shelters and program offices meet regulatory requirements. Prepare monitoring reports and make recommendations for corrective action. Perform program administration duties for the agency's Rehab Accessibility and Opening Doors grant programs.In this role, you will regularly communicate with stakeholders via phone and in person while also writing progress updates, tracking deadlines and coordinating data for various reports. Your attention to detail, organizational skills and ability to anticipate and address challenges will be essential as you work to ensure the success of the programs you oversee. Additional RequirementsIn-state travel: This role involves limited travel throughout the state to conduct inspections and provide support for homeless providers.Working for NDHFANDHFA utilizes a blended workplace model. After completion of training a hybrid schedule may be considered. Preference will be given to applicants either located within or willing to relocate to the Bismarck area. Remote work will be considered for applicants living within North Dakota. If selected for employment, the applicant will be expected to commute to the Bismarck office for training.
Minimum Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you should have one year of program administration or compliance monitoring experience and a bachelor's degree in a human services-related field, social work, public administration, business field or an applicable field or a combination of education and experience demonstrating equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities.The successful candidate must also complete the interview process, reference checks and background check.
