CNA positions are responsible for providing quality, compassionate care to residents in our long term care living facility. Duties include:Assisting with daily living activities.Respond to call lights. Location: BismarckSalary: $20/hour startingClosing Date: March 1, 2025Status: Temporary, 7 months (April -October)Applicants are encouraged to apply as soon as possible. The position may be filled prior to the listed closing date after successful completion of the application and interview process.Job Duration:Position is generally 40 hours per week but may go over depending on need. Applicants must be able to work weekends and on call during summer boating season. Overnight travel is also required.



Essential Functions:Assist with the supervision of summer seasonal watercraft inspectors.Preform boat decontaminations of high risk and zebra mussel fouled watercraft.Survey watercraft users and perform boat inspections.Educate the public on strategies to prevent the spread of ANS.Conduct ANS surveillance surveys.Process summer water collection samples using microscopy.Equipment and gear maintenance.Individuals must be able to work weekends and holidays.Overnight travel required (vehicles provided). Expenses while away from main workstation will be reimbursed per policy (includes hotel and meals).

Minimum Qualifications

Requires a minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in Fisheries/Wildlife biology or management or closely related natural resource science degree. Applicants that are graduating in the spring of 2025 may also be considered. Applicant must be extremely self-motivated and able to work independently with limited supervision. Excellent organization and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Preference will be given to individuals with supervision and leadership experience

As our Radon Program Intern, you will be responsible for assisting the NDDEQ Radon Program Coordinator in conducting statewide outreach to promote radon testing and mitigation across the State of North Dakota which includes identifying, compiling, and creating educational outreach materials, preparing materials for Limited English Proficiency (LEP) translation, staffing educational booths promoting radon testing and mitigation, researching and ordering test kits and continuous air monitors, assisting with conducting radon testing, evaluating radon test results, and conducting follow up testing in buildings initially showing elevated radon level results. You will also assist the DEQ Radon Program Coordinator in outreach and field visits.This position is based in Bismarck; however, some travel, with overnight stays, may be required. Transportation and per diem reimbursement will be provided by the department.? MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: DEQ will not provide employment sponsorships.
