Career Description




As an Equipment Operator, you will perform highway, roadway, and structure maintenance. This includes operating heavy equipment to perform required maintenance duties like basic snow and ice control/removal. You will complete highway maintenance duties, which include assisting in installing, repairing, and maintaining highway signs and guardrails. To complete these tasks and others assigned, you will operate power tools and other equipment to perform maintenance duties. Part of this job is to keep the roadways clear of any hazards, this includes litter, waste, debris, garbage, and carcasses.You will complete building and ground maintenance duties, and general routine maintenance of the roadway and radio system equipment. You will also perform minor preventive and repair maintenance on vehicles and equipment. Maintain necessary paperwork, including time records, activity reporting, daily diary, road reports, etc. You will receive training and perform construction project duties under close supervision.An important part of this position and the culture at the NDDOT is to maintain a safe working environment for yourself, your coworkers, and others.

Minimum Qualifications

To be considered as an Equipment Operator II, you must have a valid North Dakota Class A driver license without air brake restrictions and a cargo tank endorsement (N) by the first day of work. In addition, two years of relevant experience or one year of experience and one season of winter operations similar to NDDOT.To be considered as an Equipment Operator I, you must have a valid North Dakota Class B driver license without air brake restrictions.If unable to find a candidate with preferred experience, will consider filling this position as an Equipment Operator in Training, which requires a valid North Dakota Class A driver permit without air brake restrictions and a cargo tank endorsement (N) by the first day of work. The employee will have 12 months to obtain a North Dakota Class A driver license without air brake restrictions and a cargo-tank endorsement (N). This position requires reporting to work within 30 minutes, after hours, on weekends, and on holidays during emergency events. Duties and Tasks

Lead guided tours and facilitate interactive programs for diverse audiences, including school groups and families.Deliver educational sessions aligned with exhibition content to engage visitors meaningfully.Collaborate with the Education team to develop and improve educational materials and programs.Assist with event setup, facilitation, and cleanup for workshops and public programs.Share visitor feedback to enhance program quality and visitor experiences.Stay informed on museum collections, exhibitions, and educational best practices.Participate in training to improve interpretation and facilitation skills.Work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, as program needs dictate.

The individual will work as a team member in an infirmary setting and within the Medical and Psychiatric Service Program. The position requires a holistic approach to health care service with emphasis on health maintenance through patient education and positive self-initiative. Minimum Qualifications

Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse by the ND Board of Nursing within two months of hire. Starting Salary: $6,067.Addiction Counselor II - Requires a bachelor's degree in Addiction Counseling, Addiction Studies, Social Work, Counseling or Psychology, Licensure as an Addiction Counselor (LAC) by the ND Board of Addition Counseling Examiners, and Two years of experience as a Licensed Addiction Counselor. A Master's Degree in one of the majors listed above will substitute for one year of experience.
